Obituary: Michael Dobson

Michael Dobson, of New Gloucester, died on Aug. 21, 2026, at age 69, according to his obituary. He was born May 29, 1957, to Geneva “Baker” Dobson and Clinton Dobson, and grew up on Royal Road in North Yarmouth. The notice describes him as a beloved son, brother, father, grandfather and great-bumpa, and “everyone’s favorite uncle.” For many years, Dobson worked as a self-employed carpenter and took pride in his craftsmanship. He enjoyed the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing, and valued time with family and friends. He was predeceased by his daughter, Christy, and a celebration of his life will be held later.
