Orient Express Debuts the World's Largest Sailing Yacht With 5 Restaurants and 8 Bars
Orient Express is debuting Orient Express Corinthian, billed as the world’s largest sailing yacht, stretching 720 feet and launched in May. The first vessel at sea from the luxury travel operator features giant carbon-fiber sails and sustainability measures that include AI programming intended to help prevent harm to marine life. The yacht carries 110 passengers and is divided into five restaurants and eight bars, with interiors designed to evoke the Art Deco elegance associated with Orient Express. French chef Yannick Alléno oversees the restaurants, while architect and interiors expert Maxime d’Angeac shapes shared design elements. During a May preview weekend, the report highlights themed bars such as a “Library Bar” and the poolside “La Piscine” alongside modern Mediterranean and Italian-focused dining. Sommelier Theodore Spence-Cariou said wine selections may change by route, including near Marseille or Croatia.
