Palm Beach International becomes Donald J. Trump International Airport: What to know
Palm Beach International becomes Donald J. Trump International Airport: What to know details the Thursday renaming of Palm Beach International Airport in South Florida to the President Donald J. Trump International Airport. Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis signed the authorizing legislation in March, and the airport said branding and signage changes will be implemented in phases. The Federal Aviation Administration told The Hill that travelers will continue to see the three-letter identifier “PBI” on flight documents until the International Air Transport Association updates it to “DJT” on Aug. 18. The airport estimates the project will cost about $5.5 million, with the state approving $2.75 million. Officials also said airline operations, routes, and schedules will not be affected. The renaming follows other Trump-related naming efforts, including a bridge unveiled in Tennessee.
