South Florida's Palm Beach airport renamed President Donald J. Trump International
South Florida’s Palm Beach airport renamed President Donald J. Trump International highlights how Florida is changing prominent transportation landmarks under Gov. Ron DeSantis’ approval. The airport in West Palm Beach officially switched to the President Donald J. Trump International Airport on Thursday, with old Palm Beach International Airport signage removed and new branding installed. The first plane to arrive under the new name was a Boeing 757 owned by The Trump Organization, with Eric Trump among the passengers. While the name change took effect Thursday, the airport code will move from PBI to DJT on Aug. 18. The renaming is expected to cost up to $5.5 million, with Florida legislation enabling the change. Similar ceremonies occurred the same day, including renaming an East Tennessee bridge.
