Passport service center to open at metro Atlanta court clerk's office

Cobb County’s State Court Clerk’s Office in Marietta will open a new U.S. Passport Acceptance Facility on Monday, Nov. 2. The site will give local residents a place to apply in person, including first-time applicants, qualifying minors, and others required to submit applications through an acceptance facility. While the clerk’s office is authorized to accept applications, passports will still be processed and issued directly by the U.S. Department of State. The facility is at 12 East Park Square, first floor, with hours Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Appointments are required and no walk-ins will be accepted.
