Patriots' Romeo Doubs Has Major Opportunity to Rebound from Shaky Debut

With the New England Patriots set to be without A.J. Brown for the next four weeks, potentially longer, Romeo Doubs is positioned to take over as the team’s primary wide receiver in Week 2. Doubs, 26, finished catchless in the season-opening 13–10 loss to the Seattle Seahawks last Wednesday, after being targeted and then dropping a key pass on Drake Maye’s first interception drive that preceded Maye’s second interception. New England signed Doubs to a four-year, $68 million contract in the offseason, banking on his production from Green Bay. In 2025 with the Packers, he caught 55 passes for a career-high 724 yards and six touchdowns, including eight catches for 124 yards in the playoffs.
