Real Madrid new signing responds to Barcelona superstar ahead of World Cup semifinal - "He can say whatever he wants
Real Madrid’s new signing Ibrahima Konaté responded to Barcelona forward Lamine Yamal ahead of the France-Spain World Cup semifinal in Dallas. The France defender reacted to Yamal’s comments after Spain’s 2-1 quarterfinal win over Belgium, where the teenager said France should feel pressure because Spain has eliminated them before, including at the Euro 2024 semifinals and again in the UEFA Nations League. Konaté, who moved to Real Madrid on a free transfer from Liverpool, said, “We shouldn’t be afraid of anyone,” adding that France will prepare in the best way and should avoid being drawn into mind games. He is unlikely to play, as Didier Deschamps has relied on Dayot Upamecano and William Saliba. Aurelien Tchouameni is expected to return after recovering from injury.
