Recall issued for 1,500 pounds of pork products due to possible listeria

The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service issued a recall for nearly 1,513 pounds of imported ready-to-eat pork products due to possible listeria contamination. The affected items are dry-cured pork jowl products produced at Est. 1937L Bome SRL in Italy on May 21, 2026 and imported into the U.S. in July. USDA says no confirmed illnesses have been reported. Two companies’ products are included: Prime Line Distributors, Inc. and Ferrarini USA, Inc., both tied to products labeled “GUANCIALE PORK JOWL PRODUCT OF ITALY” with lot number 263311US and a “BEST IF USE BY DATE” of 05.16.27. The products were shipped to locations in multiple states including Florida, California, Idaho, Illinois, Michigan, New Jersey, New York, and Texas. The recall follows other recent food alerts, including a frozen blueberry recall for possible E. coli.
