REPORT: Dolly Parton's Niece, Rebecca Seaver, Fired From Museum Job as Estate Battle Rages
Rebecca Seaver, Dolly Parton’s niece, was fired as executive director overseeing Parton’s Life of Many Colors Museum and archives, according to a TMZ report citing sources. TMZ says Seaver was dismissed Thursday (Oct. 29) along with her entire staff, amid an ongoing estate dispute involving Parton’s family. The article notes that Seaver’s brother, Bryan Seaver, was fired as head of security in September and that conflict has escalated: Parton’s longtime manager Danny Nozell filed a restraining order and a lawsuit alleging threats. Court filings described alleged demands for payment and claims of access to weapons. A judge granted the restraining order, requiring Seaver to stay 1,000 feet from employees of Nozell’s company, She’s Alive LLC, and to stop communicating tied to it.
