Angle RNLI crews spent just over 22 hours searching for a missing 14-year-old boy off Marloes Sands, Pembrokeshire. The lifeboat was called out at 3.34pm on Sunday, August 30, after multiple 999 calls reported three people in difficulty in the water. Two were found safe, but the teenager remained unaccounted for. The all-weather lifeboat covered the most likely areas with several search patterns, then extended along the coast and carried out a reciprocal search, guided by Coastguard instructions. Assets including other RNLI lifeboats, Coastguard rescue teams, helicopter R924, fixed-wing R224, police marine support, a drone team, and multiple vessels searched until about midnight, when operations were paused and the boat returned at 8.16am Monday.
