Sarita Natividad Is Out Here Catching Monster Fish and Breaking Every Stereotype
Sarita Natividad’s rise as a monster-fish angler is the latest twist in her creator story, pairing online popularity with big-game fishing in the Gulf and beyond. The Spanish-American model and Instagram content creator, based on her upbringing in Foley and Gulf Shores, Alabama, says her passion began with her father and was shaped by freshwater fishing in Michigan before offshore trips after the family moved. She credits the Florida Keys for deep-water access—being about 10 miles offshore—and targets mahi mahi, snapper, grouper, amberjack, tuna and wahoo. Natividad highlights a 70-pound, 66-inch wahoo landed in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, after years of attempts, with a mounted replica at home. She also fishes regularly for marlin in Cabo, with striped marlin as a focus and blue marlin on her bucket list, while releasing marlin and sailfish and keeping other in-season catches.
