Stefan Cleveland saves the day for Sporting KC | Energy Moment of the Matchday

Stefan Cleveland delivered a late penalty-kick save to help Sporting Kansas City earn a dramatic 1-1 draw against FC Dallas on Saturday at Sporting Park. With the match level deep into second-half stoppage time, Cleveland stopped Petar Musa’s penalty in the 97th minute, preserving the result. The club honored the veteran goalkeeper with the “Energy Moment of the Matchday” presented by Celsius for Matchday 34. The article notes Cleveland’s season-high numbers, including 24 starts, 89 saves, and 2,160 minutes played, and says the stop was his top highlight of 2026. Sporting will close its campaign on Saturday’s Decision Day with a 7 pm ET visit to San Diego FC on Apple TV.
