Sudanese Man Arrested Over Ramsgate Fishing Boat Incident
Kent Police arrested a 30-year-old Sudanese man after an alleged attempt to steal a commercial fishing boat from Ramsgate Harbour while crew members slept below deck. The incident occurred shortly after 3 a.m. on Tuesday, 3 November, when the man boarded the vessel Carousel, started its engine, and tried to leave the harbour. The owner said the suspect told crew he wanted to travel to France to collect his family. The attempt ended when the boat struck the harbour wall, damaging its bow and mooring ropes.
