Teen boater found clinging to capsized vessel after 3 go missing; 2 bodies recovered

A 15-year-old boater was found alive after clinging to an overturned vessel off Alaska, following the report that three people were missing earlier this week. The U.S. Coast Guard said rescue personnel located the teenager Monday “clinging to the capsized vessel” about 4 miles east of St. Lawrence Island. Officials said he was suffering from hypothermia and was in a medical emergency when crews reached him. The two other mariners aboard an 18-foot fishing vessel were found dead after the skiff capsized. A search began early Monday after Alaska State Troopers alerted the Coast Guard that a boat was overdue Sunday evening.
