Wiltshire courts in Swindon and Salisbury delivered a series of sentencing outcomes on Monday, June 29, covering theft, assaults on police, and driving and drug offences. In Trowbridge, Jenica-Papina Rege, 27, received a £200 fine plus £85 costs and a £365 surcharge after admitting stealing items worth £657.27 from a Tesco Extra store on June 27. Also on June 29 in Trowbridge, Ian Gadd, 47, was jailed for three months after pleading guilty to shop theft at Sainsbury’s, including four bottles of whiskey, worth £190.45, and breaching a Criminal Behaviour Order; he was ordered to pay £85 costs. Devizes saw Nick Wray, 35, admit assaulting an officer and theft of alcohol worth £238.50; he was ordered to pay £288.50 compensation.
