THE NORTHWIND EXPERIENCE OFFICIALLY OPENS IN MARINA DEL REY

The Northwind Experience, built around the storied 1930s yacht Northwind, officially opened to the public in Marina del Rey on June 29, 2026. The 135-foot vessel is permanently docked at California Yacht Club’s F-100 Dock in Southern California’s largest recreational harbor, and is described as the only upscale, public food-and-beverage destination on the water in Marina del Rey. Restored maritime details, custom lighting, fire features and panoramic harbor views are paired with programming that includes dining, cocktails, weekend brunch, live entertainment, private events, and full-vessel buyouts. Programs also feature seasonal chef collaborations, tasting events and cultural programming. The yacht, commissioned in 1930, previously hosted notable figures including Winston Churchill and Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis. Chef Charles Voudouris leads a seasonal “sea-to-table” menu and accompanying craft cocktails and wine.
