They exported more than 33.000 tons of clay from Lara to Spain.

Venezuela has shipped its first large-scale export of white clay to international markets, with 33,380 tons loaded at Puerto Cabello bound for Castellón, Spain. The clay, sourced from the El Balcón and San Antonio sectors in the Curarigua parish, part of the Pedro León Torres municipality (Carora), is destined for the ceramics industry. Lara state governor Luis Reyes Reyes said the export follows three years of work and technical coordination and that the shipment passed rigorous quality controls. He also said the agreement positions Lara as a major producer of non-metallic minerals and plans to expand trade routes to Italy and Mexico.
