Thyssenkrupp Nucera has cut its fiscal 2026 outlook after abandoning plans to build its own mass-production capacity for solid oxide electrolysis cell (SOEC) stacks. The move will trigger a roughly €30 million one-off EBIT hit in the fourth quarter, mainly tied to an impairment of its pilot plant and capitalized development costs, the German electrolysis equipment maker said on Aug. 11. For fiscal 2026, the company now expects an EBIT loss of €105 million to €75 million, versus prior guidance for a €80 million to €30 million range. Group sales are forecast at €450 million to €500 million.
