Trump 'Blindsided' by Embarrassing Truth About Katie Zacharia
President Donald Trump learned about a gap in Katie Zacharia’s credentials around the same time the public did, according to a new report cited by Axios. Trump, 80, was “blindsided” when informed Zacharia was not an attorney, despite referring to her as one on Truth Social after hiring her as press secretary last week. Zacharia, 41, served only five days, setting a record for the shortest tenure after a shaky debut in which she struggled with prepared remarks and took questions from three conservative outlets. Journalists found no evidence she passed the bar or was admitted to practice law in any U.S. state, despite years calling herself a “lawyer.” The Wall Street Journal reported she failed the California bar exam in 2011. She said she was distracted by plans to move to China with her husband, Tyler.
