Two Essex artists make waves in London with 'everyday extraordinary' work
Two Essex artists make waves in London with 'everyday extraordinary' work reports that Keith Bird and Aaron Jolley are exhibiting at the Regent’s Park Gallery in Primrose Hill, presenting Everyday Extraordinary. The show runs until July 19, 2026, and features paintings praised for their warm, witty depictions of daily life. Bird, a self-taught artist, portrays familiar English scenes and characters ranging from Piccadilly Circus to the Pyrenees and Downing Street to a Cambridge quad, highlighting interests such as football, cycling, rugby, politics, academia and drinking. One featured work, King of the Mountain, Col du Tourmalet, follows the Tour de France climb; it sold before opening after being spotted in the gallery window. Jolley pairs with smaller, color-rich works inspired by childhood treasures, including dinosaur toys and Big Ted figures, as well as About my Job, depicting artist work at Wetherspoons at Stansted Airport. The artists previously sold out in Sophie Levi’s Eye Feast and are set for Bird’s solo show at the same gallery in 2027.
