Winning anglers named in Great Miami Riverway fishing challenge

Kyle Grosvenor, of West Milton, won the 2026 Great Miami Riverway Smallmouth Bass Fishing Challenge for the second straight year, taking top honors with a 20.75-inch smallmouth bass. The Miami Conservancy District said Grosvenor led from opening day to the final weigh-in and previously won a 2021 event. The month-long catch-and-release contest drew 59 anglers across the region and featured 456 fish. The tournament’s top three largest smallmouth were Grosvenor (20.75), Dustin Burns (19.50) and Dillon Browning (19.25). In the Competitive Series’ top five bag, Derek Pyles led with 91.00 inches. IGFA Bass Grand Slam winners completed species qualifications by June 22, June 26, July 5 and July 11, and award festivities were held July 29.
