Yacht club expansion will let people see into Sandbanks homes, say residents

Residents near Poole, Dorset’s Royal Motor Yacht Club say they oppose plans to expand the club’s marina, arguing the development would allow boat owners to look into nearby luxury homes. The Royal Motor Yacht Club (RMYC) has faced resistance after meeting about the expansion, according to the report. Neighbours have raised concerns about privacy and “snooping” over the waterfront. The article frames the dispute around how the marina’s changes could affect views and access from the water, with residents pushing back against what they see as an unwanted shift in the local boundary between public boating space and private property.
