Yacht not the only big boat at Lake St. Clair Metropark

A $3.8 million HCB 56 Suenos GIX yacht drew plenty of attention at the Metro Boat Show at Lake St. Clair Metropark, but the cost of fuel and upkeep kept many spectators grounded. The show runs Sept. 17-20 in Harrison Township, with tickets priced at $15 at the door or $10 online and free entry for ages 12 and under with an adult. About 8,000 attendees are expected, according to the Michigan Boating Industries Association, which has run the event for 17 years. More than 300 boats will be on the water and on land, alongside almost 100 vendors. Organizers also announced next year’s Novi and Detroit indoor shows.
