Alex Marquez sets sights on MotoGP Aragon pole and sprint victory

Alex Marquez set his sights on MotoGP Aragón pole and sprint victory after a sharp Friday practice. At MotorLand Aragón, he posted a time-attack lap below the previous circuit record and was only 10 thousandths off the fastest rider, Marco Bezzecchi. The Gresini Racing rider beat Marc Marquez in practice and smashed Marc’s lap record with a 1:45.455 benchmark, as the top three riders all went under the old track mark of 1:45.766. Marquez attributed the slight deficit to tyre feel, saying he loses more with front grip entry and locking. He expects Q2 and pole to be fast, and aims for pole plus sprint win on Saturday.
