Bugatti's VW Era Is Officially Over as Porsche Exits Rimac Partnership: TDS
Bugatti’s ownership structure has shifted again: a consortium led by HOF Capital completed the acquisition of Porsche’s minority stake in Bugatti Rimac, formally ending Porsche’s involvement in the French hypercar maker’s future. Rimac remains the majority shareholder at 55%. The deal also triggered executive changes, with Bugatti COO Christophe Piochon—whose tenure dates to the Veyron era—stepping down. He will be replaced by Marko Brkljačić, formerly COO of Rimac Technology. The report also surveys other industry moves: Hyundai is “considering” expanding its XRT badge widely across models via factory-built variants in Australia; McLaren outlined a roadmap including a 1,258-hp hypercar and a new V6 hybrid coupe tentatively titled P34; and Land Rover plans smaller interior screens going forward.
