California Cybertruck owner says 5,000 miles and near-daily charging brought 'zero' battery loss
A California Cybertruck owner says nearly 5,000 miles of driving and frequent charging have resulted in “zero” apparent battery loss, citing his base-model truck’s range behavior and a Tesla app screenshot. Delivered in mid-August, the truck reached 5,160 miles after about two months while still showing the full 325 miles of range on a 100% charge. Stephen charges mostly at home, topping up to 80% almost every other night and to 100% about once a week. He also compared readings with his previous 2023 dual-motor Tesla Model S, which dropped from an expected 320 miles at 80% to 280 miles at 80% after 12,000 miles. Other owners in the forum reported similar modest degradation, while one cautioned that the battery management estimate can drift and may require recalibration.
