Chevy Volt, one of the best EVs on the road
xCruzo Brief
The Chevrolet Bolt returns from hiatus for 2027 as a new, refreshed EV built on GM’s Ultium battery platform, with NACS charging plugs. After launching for 2017 with 238 miles of range, the Bolt’s range was later extended to 259 miles before it was discontinued in 2023; the 2027 model is rated at 262 miles, up just 3 miles but with easier access to charging. GM says charging from 10–80% takes about 25 minutes, and a 240V home charger replenishes it in under 7 hours. The EUV-length body supports more rear legroom, and a new dashboard includes 11.3-inch touchscreen gauges plus interior updates.
