Classic car fans flocked to Dearborn this weekend for The Henry Ford's Motor Muster, a long-running show that blends automotive history with regional transport lore. Tim and Sue Swanson drove their 50‑foot cabin cruiser across Lake Erie and up the Detroit River to attend Saturday's event, admiring a 1965 Plymouth Satellite as they described their multi‑modal weekend. 'We came just for this,' Tim said, while Sue noted that boats, trains and automobiles all figured in their journey. In Princeton, New Jersey, Randi and Glenn Protter traveled roughly 600 miles with their son Conner to view the cars, including a 1957 Chrysler 300C.

Motor Muster traces its origins to the Old Car Festival of 1951 and was renamed The Motor Muster in 1986, now displaying more than 600 classic cars and trucks on Greenfield Village grounds each year. Attendees recalled ownership stories and the era's tech, from a 1968 Plymouth Road Runner once bought for about $3,300 to a rotisserie-restored 1967 Dodge Coronet RT that its owner drives regularly. The show draws enthusiasts from Michigan and beyond, underscoring its status as one of the world's best-known classic car showcases and a nostalgic centerpiece for families and collectors alike.
