Classic cars roar back into town this weekend
Classic cars are set to return to Austintown this weekend, with a major Corvette and classic-vehicle show bringing both entertainment and fundraising. The Mahoning Valley Corvette Club will present its 31st annual car show at Greenwood Chevrolet at the Hummer Building on Mahoning Avenue on Sunday, June 28. Admission is free, and the event is designed as an all-steel vehicles gathering, including Corvettes and other classic cars. Organizers say there will be large public parking areas, Attraction Alley featuring hard-to-find vehicles, and a “generation row” of Corvettes from C1 through C8. Food trucks, ice cream trucks, DJs, and an American Legion performance at noon are scheduled, alongside prize baskets and a people’s choice vote. Vehicles brought by attendees will cost $10 to register, and trophies will be awarded for steel cars and Corvettes. Proceeds support local charities including the Warren Family Mission.
