Copper worth about $35,000 stolen in Los Gatos

Copper valued at about $35,000 was stolen after an alarm alerted residents around 5 a.m. on Blossom Hill Road, police reported. The report also lists an overnight theft of a white Kia Sportage on Bruce Avenue; an AirTag indicated the vehicle traveled northbound on I-880 toward San Leandro. A 2008 Lexus RX400H had its catalytic converter stolen during the night on El Rancho Avenue. Other incidents included a two-vehicle collision that caused minor injuries, with a passenger who was pregnant experiencing pain. The log further mentions a break-in at La Rinconada Country Club involving a $700 wallet and about $600 cash on Aug. 21.
