Detective Comics #1110 Review
Detective Comics #1110 continues a storyline in which Black Canary believes she has taken in a lost, scared little girl, unaware that the girl may be a trained assassin. The issue, featuring story by Tom Taylor and art by Mikel Janin with lettering by Wes Abbott, centers on the race between Batman and Green Arrow to warn Dinah before it is too late. In the review, the writer notes revisiting the title after time away from the 2000s era, praising Taylor and Janin’s return while describing some parts of the Prion storyline as not fully landing. The opening depicts a past mission involving the four as Prion was part of the team, including a train hijacking. In the present, Batman and Green Arrow track the girl who attacked Oliver, finding her with Black Canary, where she later attacks Dinah and then flees. The review also references a manipulation by the grandmother connected to Arabella’s split personality.
