Driver gets away after shooting into occupied vehicle in Raleigh

Police in Raleigh are investigating an early Friday shooting in which a driver fired into an occupied vehicle and then drove away. Officers responded just before 12:30 a.m. to a shots-fired call in the 2600 block of Salsa Court. They found a white SUV parked to the side with damage to the rear window, and the driver and passenger were still inside. A WRAL breaking news tracker reported that the occupants appeared to cover the back windshield, possibly shattered. Police said investigators determined another driver shot at the two people while they were in the truck and fled in an unknown direction. No injuries were reported.
