EVgo and General Motors showcased a new “flagship” fast-charging station in Warren, Michigan, at a Meijer location, aiming to demonstrate how public charging is evolving. The site features 12 stalls with pull-through access for vehicles towing trailers and 350 kW chargers, which EVgo says can deliver a full charge in as little as 15 minutes depending on the vehicle. EVgo CEO Badar Kahn pointed to improving reliability of chargers and faster batteries, noting that most charging happens at retail. GM’s Will Hotchkiss said infrastructure is catching up as EV volumes moderate and expansion plans were scaled back.
