Ford Is Shifting Lincoln Production Back To The U.S. - Jalopnik

Ford plans to move production of some Lincoln models from China to the United States starting in 2030, aiming to avoid high import tariffs. The company’s CEO, Jim Farley, told Reuters that the shift is difficult but necessary to strengthen the U.S. auto manufacturing base, with both gasoline vehicles and electric vehicles imported from China facing steep duties. Ford confirmed that the U.S. tariff on the Lincoln Nautilus—its main vehicle imported from China—is 52.5%. Farley said the decision aligned with the administration’s tariff policy and discussed the move in a joint interview with U.S. Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick.
