Ford recalling 110,000 Mustangs over wiper and powertrain defects

Ford is recalling 110,626 Mustangs in two U.S. safety actions linked to windshield wiper issues and a fracture-prone powertrain component, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. The larger recall covers 67,842 Mustang and Mustang GTD vehicles whose wipers can malfunction in cold weather, potentially getting stuck at high speed while the washer fluid system stops working. The second recall involves 42,784 Mustang Mach-E models, where NHTSA warns a cracked or broken rear differential pinion shaft could leave drivers without propulsion and cause rollaway if the vehicle is parked without the brake engaged. Repairs or part replacements at dealerships will be provided at no cost to owners.
