The campaign covers the 2020–2026 Ford Explorer and the 2020–2027 Lincoln Aviator and is linked to the risk that an unlatched seat may fail to restrain a passenger during a sudden stop or crash. U.S. NHTSA documents say a plastic trim bezel can become misaligned or unseated over time, binding the release button and leaving the mechanism trapped in the “down” position.
