Ford recalls over 102,000 F-Series pickups over faulty speedometer
Ford is recalling more than 102,000 vehicles over a defect that can cause the speedometer to stick or move erratically, potentially showing incorrect speeds and increasing crash risk. The recall covers certain 2025–2026 F-Series Super Duty models—F-250, F-350, F-450, F-550, F-600—and also 2026 F-150 and F-750 Super Duty trucks. According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the analog instrument cluster’s tachometer and speedometer may malfunction. Ford says the issue was discovered in May when it was reviewed by its Critical Concern Review Group, and it traced inaccurate readings to supplier process deficiencies. As of September 16, 2026, Ford had logged 18 warranty and 93 field reports since January 2025, with no reported accidents, fires, or injuries. Dealers will replace affected instrument clusters free of charge, and owners are expected to be notified beginning with interim letters mailed October 26, 2026; Ford expects a permanent remedy by year-end.
