GAA Classic Cars Set to Roll Out Boss 429s, Jimmy Buffett's Nash, and a SpaceX-Inspired Build at July Auction
GAA Classic Cars will stage a major collector-car auction from July 23 through July 25 at its eight-acre, climate-controlled facility “The Palace” in Greensboro, North Carolina. The sale is described as a permanent venue rather than a temporary tent, and the event typically brings more than 750 vehicles and over $20 million in weekend sales. Headlining the July lineup are a pair of 1969 Ford Mustang Boss 429 S-Code cars, both valued above $500,000. The cars are presented as numbers-matching examples built to homologate Ford’s “semi-hemi” big-block V8 for NASCAR, requiring Kar Kraft to widen the Mustang’s engine bay to fit the motor. The two cars will be finished in Wimbledon White and Black Jade. Gates open at 8 a.m. ET, with memorabilia at 9 a.m. and vehicles at 9:30 a.m., and bidding will be available in person, by phone, and online with live streaming on YouTube.
