Here are Ford's winner and losers in its Q2 and first-half U.S. sales
Ford’s U.S. sales fell in the second quarter, though several nameplates recorded gains. The automaker reported it sold 549,200 new vehicles in the United States during Q2, down 10.3% versus a year earlier. For the first half, sales decreased 9.6% to 1,006,515 vehicles compared with 1,113,386 in the first half of 2025. Ford retained the top spot as the nation’s best-selling pickup, delivering 357,801 F-Series trucks through June and staying on pace for a 50th straight year in that category. Growth highlights included Mustang (+3.4% to 14,651), Bronco (+15.9% to 45,739, with record quarter and first-half results) and Explorer (+13.8% to 65,538). Ford’s challenges included luxury Lincoln sales down 15.8% and EV/hybrid sales dropping 24% to 62,909 in the quarter.
