Honda S2000: Did RJ de Vera Make the Perfect Build?

TTAC editor Jonathan Rivers looks at how RJ de Vera built a modern “OEM-plus” Honda S2000. After joining SEMA, de Vera wanted an analog project car and weighed an Acura Integra Type R and an NSX before choosing a low-mileage 2009 S2000 AP2. The decision was partly driven by space for a CARB-certified turbo kit that was under development, taking inspiration from Evasive Motorsports’ S2000R concept. The build prioritizes subtle exterior changes and a cohesive interior selection, while retaining the stock 2.2-liter F22C1 with factory internals plus a Greddy turbo setup.
