How to follow Bahrain Grand Prix in Malaysia on the BBC

The BBC will carry live and on-demand coverage of the Bahrain Grand Prix in Malaysia, with the event set for 2–4 October. Round 16 of the 2026 season heads to Sepang after the race was originally postponed in March, a month before it was due to take place. F1 added it back to the calendar with Malaysia hosting it on Bahrain’s behalf, since Bahrain still retains the naming rights. The programme includes commentary across BBC Radio 5 Live, BBC Sounds and the BBC Sport website and app, plus smart-speaker access. Session times BST are: practice 05:30–06:30 and 09:00–10:00 on Friday and Saturday; qualifying 09:00–10:00 Saturday; and Sunday’s 56-lap race at 08:00 BST from 07:45 build-up. Weather forecasts point to a stormy weekend, with possible thundery showers and highs around 33C.
