Italian Grand Prix at Monza in pictures

The Italian Grand Prix returns this weekend at Monza, widely regarded as the most historic circuit on the Formula 1 calendar. Monza has hosted more F1 races than any other track and has staged grand prix in every year but one since the championship began in 1950; it missed only 1980 due to renovations. Set in a royal park and surrounded by woodland, Monza is often called the “cathedral of speed” and is the spiritual home of Ferrari and its tifosi.
