Jason Momoa Just Turned Three 100-Year-Old Harley-Davidsons Into Plug-In Hybrids

Three century-old Harley-Davidsons have been revived by Electrogenic, turning 1924 Model JD, 1927 Model JD, and 1921 Model FD into hybrid or electric motorcycles. The conversion, showcased in Jason Momoa's On The Roam Season 2, Episode 4, features an 11kW Maeving hub motor integrated into the rear wheel delivering 260Nm of torque, roughly four times the original engine output. A 2.7kWh battery pack sits in custom panniers matching period styling, removable for charging in about 2.5 hours; charging can also occur on-bike via a standard outlet. The project preserves all original components, enabling full reversibility, and comes after Momoa previously electrified a 1929 Rolls-Royce Phantom II with Electrogenic. The Maeving hub is reportedly the only such unit capable of delivering the required power, with sourcing arranged directly by Electrogenic.
