Kia's electric van delivers more driving range in the real world at 260 miles

Kia's PV5 electric van demonstrates real-world range that beats its WLTP rating, underscoring the model's appeal in Europe’s growing light-commercial market. The van, part of Kia's PBV platform based on Hyundai’s E-GMP.S, is offered in Passenger, Cargo, Crew, Open Bed, and Chassis Cab configurations with more variants forthcoming. Independent testing by the Norwegian Automotive Federation during the El Prix Summer EV Range Test showed the PV5 Passenger with a 71.2 kWh battery driving 260 miles (420 km) on a single charge, above its WLTP rating of 256 miles. It logged 4.5 miles per kWh and can charge from 10% to 80% in 30 minutes at up to 150 kW.
