Towing tops out at 7,844 pounds for the Lexus and 6,000 for the Toyota, though a GX Overtrail with no third row can tow 9,096. Lexus prices the GX 550 Luxury at $80,200 plus delivery, offering quiet cabin comfort and ten-speed smoothness, but the ride in the Luxury trim is described as trucky and abrupt on rough city roads.
