Longtime Honda team makes Ducati switch for 2027 BSB season
Longtime TAG Honda BSB team switches to Ducati machinery for the 2027 Bennetts British Superbike (BSB) season, marking a major manufacturer change ahead of next year’s campaign. TAG Racing confirmed it will move from Honda, with the number of Ducati motorcycles on the grid expected to rise in 2027. The decision follows Ducati’s dominance in 2026, where it has won all nine races across the opening three rounds—seven for Kyle Ryde and two for Scott Redding—and holds the top two rider positions in the standings. Honda has not recorded a BSB podium this season, even with Ryan Vickers and Jason O’Halloran on the official bikes, while other marques like Bimota and Yamaha have managed podiums. TAG said it will race the Ducati Panigale V4 R and announced the change early, before the fourth 2026 round at Snetterton. Team owner Rob Winfield and manager Gary Winfield cited the opportunity for “the next step” and a transition supported by Moto Rapido.
