Marc Marquez lifts lid on incredible 300km/h Bezzecchi overtake

Marc Marquez delivered what he called one of the most unusual overtakes of the MotoGP season at the Aragon Grand Prix, winning both the sprint and feature race to move up to second in the standings and keep Marco Bezzecchi at bay. The key moment came on lap six out of turn 15, when Marquez passed the Italian amid a Ducati-Aprilia duel through chicanes at around 300 km/h. Both riders later explained the passing dynamics as an aerodynamic effect: at that speed, their bikes appeared to “suck” each other, with slight wheelies in sixth gear and repeated air-driven push-and-pull during the straight battle. Pedro Acosta’s move also helped Marquez, who described struggles with right-hand turns and a mistake at the start involving an active lowering device.
