Marco Bezzecchi not giving up on MotoGP title hopes after latest error

Marco Bezzecchi says he’s still determined to take the 2026 MotoGP title fight “down to the wire” despite slipping behind rivals after the San Marino Grand Prix. At Misano, he had pole and a record-setting qualifying lap, but crashed from the lead at Turn 13 on the opening lap and saw a potential win disappear. The Italian, 27, is now 33 points behind joint leaders Marc Marquez and Jorge Martin with eight rounds remaining. Bezzecchi acknowledges a pattern of errors and says his immediate goal is regaining consistency, especially after previous Sachsenring-related injury issues. He also noted Misano marked the fifth time in seven races he failed to score, due to mistakes, injury or a ban.
