Max Verstappen wins Singapore Grand Prix as Kimi Antonelli closes in on F1 title

Max Verstappen won the Singapore Grand Prix, securing back-to-back Formula 1 victories after his Malaysia win and sprint success on Saturday. Verstappen raced aggressively into the first corner but was wary of what he called horrendous starts, and he again lost time at the line. Still, he squeezed Charles Leclerc to the inside heading into turn one and held the lead. Leclerc finished second. Kimi Antonelli moved past Lando Norris and Lewis Hamilton to take third and close in on F1’s title race, boosting his points advantage. Mercedes teammate George Russell recovered from last on the grid to finish ninth.
