Missouri is set to receive a new EV charging concept from Rangeway that combines covered stalls, indoor lounges, and potential overnight lodging. The California startup plans an initial expansion in the St. Louis area, aiming to make charging more of a destination than a distant parking-lot stop. Rangeway describes four formats: covered “Trailhead” stations, enclosed “Waystation” and “Basecamp” lounges, and a boutique motel-style option with modular rooms and off-grid charging for overnight stays, as reported by CleanTechnica. In June, Rangeway announced Rangeway St. Louis, a joint venture with sustainable building firm LoüTeq, where LoüTeq founder and CEO Luke Schuette is slated to lead design and construction. The company highlights reliability and comfort, noting Missouri’s $150 annual fee for passenger EVs.
